Schools Work
We have close relationships with our local Primary and Secondary Schools. Our dedicated team visits these local schools to teach RE lessons, lead assemblies, organise church visits and encourage engagement with our community outreach events, as well as offering mentoring support with our PASS THE BATON MENTORING SCHEME scheme (students mentoring local school children).

If you'd like to find out more about these or any of our other activities for children and young people, please check out the list below or get in touch via admin@stps.org.uk or Contact Us

PASS THE BATON MENTORING SCHEME

In Autumn 2024 we launched our Pass the Baton Mentoring Scheme, a collaboration between students at Plymouth Marjon University (mentors) and All Saints Academy Plymouth (mentees). The scheme involves Marjon students mentoring local kids from tough backgrounds by delivering one hour's worth of mentoring a week for 10 weeks in the Spring term.

In April 2025 we held a special afternoon tea to recognise and celebrate the culmination of this first year’s Pass The Baton Mentoring Scheme at The Right Reverend James Grier, Bishop of Plymouth's residence, where he awarded certificates to all the students and pupils involved. Full details of this special occasion can be viewed on the Facebook post below .
The positive and beneficial outcome of this first run of Pass the Baton, and the encouragement generated, will ensure that the scheme will grow and serve even more in the future.
