Community Larder

Our Community Larder is held every Wednesday in the church hall/café from 10am-12noon.  For a fee of just £2 visitors can stock up on a great selection of fresh produce, household items, store cupboard essentials, etc. This service to the local community is run by volunteers and everyone is welcome to come and see whether there is food they can use, and to sit and chat over a cuppa (see TLC - Tea with Lots of Cake).

We are very grateful to FareShare, who provide the food and provisions.  We know how valuable this resource is to so many people and are passionate to help in any way to alleviate food insecurity.

During the pandemic, with the help of lots of volunteers and Transforming Plymouth Together*, we were able to provide regular weekly food hampers to some 50+ families in the local community for some 40 weeks between Easter 2020 and Easter 2021.  This represents some 30,000 meals and more than 4,800 volunteer hours.

*We are also grateful for the support provided during that time by Plymouth City Council, Box of Hope, Tamar Fresh and Provide Devon.
