Mariska Minter - Families & Outreach Worker

I’m the Families & Outreach Worker at St Pancras church which covers two main roles. Within church I lead the children’s group on a Sunday morning, called Energise (currently with children aged from 3 to 12), and oversee the creche for babies. During the week I also help at our two busy groups for little ones and their carers, visit local primary and secondary schools for RE lessons and assemblies, help lead our monthly “Feast of Fun” community family event, run a parenting course, help lead the mental health and wellbeing course, Kintsugi Hope, and coordinate a food hamper collection for local families in need.

I spent my early years living in the Far and Middle East and have now lived in Plymouth since I was a teenager – apart from 3 years at university where I studied History. Before joining St Pancras I have worked as a teacher and have run my own business. I have two daughters of college age. My favourite place in the world is the beach on a sunny day or my garden, and my favourite activities are coffee, cake and a natter with a friend or walking my dog Buddy.
